Days that respect geography, energy, opening hours, crowd pressure, and the pleasure of not rushing.
TRAVEL STATUS · CHECK BEFORE BOOKING
Canada was Level 1, exercise normal precautions, in the US advisory checked October 16, 2026. This is not a neighborhood safety guarantee. Protect valuables, use planned transport after dark and consult your own government’s advice.
ROUTING LOGIC
Times are suggested planning windows, including the travel buffers described below. Reorder whole days for museum closures, weather, and confirmed reservations. For a shorter visit, use the first day or first two days; extensions and alternatives are labeled.
01
Day 1
The rivers and a serious museum
The Forks → CMHR → market → upper riverfront
Tall Grass breakfast
Use the Forks branch; allow 45 minutes and a short level approach. Confirm holiday opening.
Walk back 10–15 minutes to the Forks bakery/deli: ask for the day’s available savory baking and supplement with bread, cheese or another currently serving market counter if needed. This is a flexible lunch, not a promised fixed sandwich menu.
Reserve the actual dinner service at Inn at the Forks. On a regular Monday, swap this entire day with the park day, keeping the museum for an open day. Holiday/maintenance dates require a fresh rearrangement.
Walk-in queue buffer included; call for access assistance. If waiting exceeds 30 minutes, shorten the later architecture circuit, not the museum arrival buffer.
Tuesday–Saturday book 85 Princess Street. If unavailable, reserve Peasant on a dinner-open night; Sunday choose confirmed SMITH dinner instead. Monday: move this whole museum day to Tue–Sun.
Eat at the Forks branch, then allow 35–45 minutes for bridge approach, a leisurely crossing and cathedral arrival; take a ride if ice or mobility makes the crossing unsuitable.
On Tue–Sat reserve a small shared-plate lunch at 300 Taché. Sunday/Monday instead return by a prebooked ride for a confirmed SMITH lunch; do not arrive at a closed Nola.
Protect 45 minutes for billing, pickup and a ride; confirm drop-off and screening entrance if touring.
Legislature — booked interior or exterior plan
Use an actual confirmed Monday/Friday public tour when offered; otherwise choose the outdoor self-guided grounds only. The published autumn panel is not a guarantee of a daily tour.
Reserve SMITH if you did not dine there on Day 1, or choose a serving market tenant before food-hall closing. Use a matched ride from Broadway rather than an improvised late river-path walk.
Eat before departure; protect 45–60 minutes for pickup/ride/entrance from the central hotel. Transit needs its actual Navigo journey, not the car estimate.
Book the timed date; use lifts/benches and removable layers. On a full biome closure day, move this entire day or substitute the separately planned zoo morning only after checking its ticket calendar.
Choose paved sections of the outdoor gardens and a rest break. Do not assume seasonal Leo Mol gallery or winter playground is open. Bad weather: extend a permitted indoor rest or return to the hotel.
Allow 45–60 minutes back to the hotel, then a later 30–45-minute ride/arrival buffer for Corydon. Sunday: stay at the hotel for a longer rest, then walk or take a short ride to a confirmed central SMITH dinner; omit the Corydon transfer.
Bonfire Bistro dinner — Monday to Saturday
Secure a real dinner reservation by phone. Sunday’s complete variant ends with a reserved SMITH dinner in the Forks, not a return trip to the park. Arrange a direct hotel ride afterward.
