ORDER THE CITY

Five rituals, without the costume.

Let khinkali cool slightly

Hold the top, take a small bite and sip the broth before eating the dumpling; order in manageable rounds.

Share bread dishes thoughtfully

Khachapuri can be substantial. Add vegetables and a main rather than ordering several breads before considering portion size.

Ask about walnuts and dairy

Walnuts occur in sauces and vegetable dishes; cheese, butter and yogurt also appear widely. Explain allergies clearly before ordering.

Taste wine without accepting drinking pressure

Ask about grape and production style, including amber wine, and choose small pours if desired. Toasting does not oblige anyone to drink alcohol.

Distinguish cafe, restaurant and program

At Funicular and Tsiskvili, the named room or outlet changes the meal and atmosphere; confirm the exact reservation.

RESERVATION CLOCK

Book by pressure, not prestige.

Weeks aheadSmall rooms, tasting menus, major weekends, and true occasion meals.

Several daysPrime dinner times and restaurants tied to a fixed show or attraction.

Same dayMarkets, counters, bakeries, and casual institutions after checking hours.

Always flexibleKeep one meal open for the neighborhood the trip makes you curious about.
