Days that respect geography, energy, opening hours, crowd pressure, and the pleasure of not rushing.
ROUTING LOGIC
Times are suggested planning windows, including the travel buffers described below. Reorder whole days for museum closures, weather, and confirmed reservations. For a shorter visit, use the first day or first two days; extensions and alternatives are labeled.
01
Day 1
Historic centre and the bridge
Praça XV → Mercado Público → Parque da Luz → Centro
Breakfast at the hotel
Eat before leaving; this route works best Tuesday–Saturday.
Praça XV and surrounding streets
Allow a gentle 45-minute daylight introduction.
Palácio Cruz e Sousa
Use only currently open areas; the upper floor is restricted. If closed, extend the exterior history walk.
Box 32 lunch
Allow 75–90 minutes. On Sunday choose a reserved Artusi lunch after a short taxi transfer; museum access is also unavailable.
Parque da Luz and bridge approach
Walk 20–30 minutes from the market, or take a short ride; spend an hour using permitted pedestrian space.
Hotel rest
Return before evening and leave time to change.
Artusi dinner
Reserve the actual sitting and allow a local ride; Boteco Rita Maria is the casual alternative if unavailable.
02
Day 2
Eastern ocean and lagoon
Joaquina → Barra da Lagoa → Lagoa da Conceição
Breakfast and eastern-shore transfer
Finish breakfast and depart by 08:00; allow 45–75 minutes from Centro and leave earlier in summer traffic.
Joaquina beach walk
Keep this to an hour; swimming depends on flags and current conditions.
Transfer toward TAMAR
Allow 30–45 minutes plus entrance time.
TAMAR
Spend 90 minutes; closed Tuesdays, so swap this day with Day 3. No turtle release is promised.
Café Cultura Lagoa lunch
Allow 30–45 minutes back toward Lagoa and order a substantial meal, not just coffee. Confirm branch kitchen service; carry a backup picnic if service is limited.
Lagoon village and rest
A short local walk, then allow 45–75 minutes back to Centro. In storms skip the shore.
Boteco Rita Maria dinner
Book or arrive for current kitchen service; Artusi is a nearby central alternative.
03
Day 3
Southern coast and oyster country
Centro → Campeche mainland beach → Ribeirão da Ilha → Centro
Breakfast and southern departure
Depart by 08:45 after breakfast and allow 45–75 minutes to the mainland-island beach at Campeche; this is not a boat departure for Ilha do Campeche.
Campeche shore
A short beach walk with no swimming assumption; skip in storms.
Drive to Ribeirão
Allow 35–60 minutes and keep the lunch booking ahead of any optional village stops.
Ostradamus lunch
Reserve Ribeirão and allow two hours. Rancho Açoriano Ribeirão is the named alternative only with confirmed service.
Historic village interval
Walk public streets for 45–60 minutes; do not enter oyster farms or private jetties.
Return and rest
Allow 45–90 minutes to Centro depending on traffic.
Boteco Rita Maria dinner
A lighter seated meal after the large lunch; use Artusi if kitchen service is unavailable.
04
Day 4
Northern fort and bay village
Centro → Ponta Grossa → Santo Antônio de Lisboa → Centro
Breakfast and northern departure
Eat at the hotel, depart by 07:45 and allow 60–90 minutes plus an entry margin to the fort area. Avoid regular Monday closure through November 30, 2026.
Fortaleza de São José
Finish the selected visit by 11:30, including approach and uneven surfaces; if unavailable, swap this day with Day 3.
Transfer to Santo Antônio
Allow 35–60 minutes and arrive before the confirmed lunch sitting.
Marisqueira Sintra lunch
Reserve the Santo Antônio branch for 90–120 minutes; Rosso is the local alternative with a confirmed table.
Village and bay walk
Use public streets for an hour; in heavy rain remain indoors and return earlier.
Return to Centro and rest
Allow 40–75 minutes; do not attach a flight departure to this timing.
Artusi dinner
Keep the final evening central and reserve service; Boteco Rita Maria provides a casual alternative.
DO NOT BREAK THE RHYTHM
Four ways travelers exhaust Florianópolis.
Crossing town for every mealA good nearby table beats the famous reservation that breaks the day.
Stacking major institutionsTwo famous doors do not guarantee two meaningful visits.
Ignoring the hotel resetA real break protects the evening that mattered enough to reserve.
Treating travel time as emptyThe route, street, train, river, or view can be part of the city—not an inconvenience.
