Days that respect geography, energy, opening hours, crowd pressure, and the pleasure of not rushing.
ROUTING LOGIC
Times are suggested planning windows, including the travel buffers described below. Reorder whole days for museum closures, weather, and confirmed reservations. For a shorter visit, use the first day or first two days; extensions and alternatives are labeled.
01
Day 1
Cham art and the Han River
Hải Châu museum → central streets → riverfront
Hotel breakfast
If arriving today, store luggage and allow airport transfer and check-in arrangements before starting; shift the museum later rather than rushing.
Museum of Cham Sculpture
Allow 90–120 minutes and check current admission. If unexpectedly closed, take a short central street walk and move the museum to another morning.
Mì Quảng Bà Mua lunch
Allow 10–20 minutes to the 44 Lê Đình Dương branch. If closed, use nearby Pizza 4P’s Hoàng Văn Thụ after confirming a table.
Han Market and a short river walk
Keep the browse to about an hour and retreat indoors if the heat or rain is uncomfortable.
Hotel rest
Allow 20–40 minutes if returning to a beach hotel; do not add a mountain trip.
Madame Lân dinner
Reserve at 4 Bạch Đằng. Allow 20–40 minutes from the beach side, more during bridge-event traffic.
Dragon Bridge viewing position
Finish dinner and leave by 20:00, allowing 20–35 minutes to a safe public riverside spot plus a crowd margin. If the meal runs late, skip the show rather than rush. The regular show is 21:00 Friday–Sunday and holidays; other nights or cancellations mean a normal illuminated river walk.
02
Day 2
The southern mountain corridor
Marble Mountains → Mỹ An → My Khe
Hotel breakfast
Depart by 08:00 and allow 25–45 minutes from the central beach districts, longer from the northwest.
Marble Mountains
Allow about 2.5 hours, choosing caves and steps according to mobility and weather. If stone paths are unsafe, use the Cham museum on an open day instead.
Bếp Cuốn lunch
Allow 25–40 minutes north to Trần Bạch Đằng. The daily lunch service is a useful anchor after the climb.
Hotel rest
Leave the hottest hours open.
My Khe walk and optional swim
Use an open supervised section and follow flags. In rough weather, have a short indoor coffee break at XLIII instead.
Nén Danang dinner
Allow 20–35 minutes to Mỹ Đa Tây 2 and reserve the tasting menu. If unavailable, use Mộc Quán or Bếp Cuốn; do not squeeze the bridge show after a 2.5-hour dinner.
03
Day 3
Sơn Trà without an unauthorized forest tour
Coastal road → Linh Ứng → An Hải
Hotel breakfast
Confirm permitted roads and weather with the driver before an 08:30 departure.
Linh Ứng Pagoda
Allow 30–45 minutes on the coast road from central My Khe, then an unhurried temple visit. Respect dress rules and any restricted areas.
Permitted coastal viewpoints
Use only safe designated stops on roads open that day. No forest trails, feeding or guaranteed wildlife encounters. Return early if weather deteriorates.
Mộc Quán lunch
Allow 30–45 minutes back toward An Hải. Confirm the seafood order and price before it is prepared.
Rest
A hotel break protects the day from becoming a second long outing.
XLIII coffee
Allow 15–30 minutes to Ngô Thì Sĩ and check opening. Skip the stop if a quiet afternoon suits better.
Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng dinner
Allow 25–40 minutes across the river and confirm service first. Pizza 4P’s Hoàng Văn Thụ is the named central fallback.
04
Day 4
Mỹ Sơn as a separate excursion
Da Nang → Mỹ Sơn → Da Nang
Hotel breakfast
Bring water and a packed snack. Depart by 07:30 with return transport and current site access confirmed.
Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary
Allow 90–120 minutes on the road plus arrival transfer and ticketing. Spend 2–2.5 hours on the designated heritage route; take shade breaks.
Snack and return departure
Have the packed snack in a permitted eating area, then allow 1.5–2 hours back to the city. If access is closed, return for a museum or relaxed city day.
Madame Lân late lunch
Confirm the afternoon kitchen service in advance; Mộc Quán’s continuous service is the alternative if the drive is delayed.
Hotel rest
Avoid another long excursion or a tight onward flight after the road trip.
Bếp Cuốn dinner
Finish with a relaxed meal near the beach, or a reserved Pizza 4P’s table if staying downtown.
DO NOT BREAK THE RHYTHM
Four ways travelers exhaust Da Nang.
Crossing town for every mealA good nearby table beats the famous reservation that breaks the day.
Stacking major institutionsTwo famous doors do not guarantee two meaningful visits.
Ignoring the hotel resetA real break protects the evening that mattered enough to reserve.
Treating travel time as emptyThe route, street, train, river, or view can be part of the city—not an inconvenience.
